FPRA reviews $14.65 million proposed FY26 budget, adds $3 million to Indian River Drive reconstruction

Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency staff presented a proposed FY26 operating budget balanced at $14,654,125 and a five‑year capital improvement plan during the Aug. 12 FPRA meeting. The presentation outlined major operating allocations and a series of capital projects the agency proposes to fund or advance in fiscal 2026.

Finance Director Morris said the proposed operating budget is balanced at $14,654,125, an increase of roughly $1.05 million from the current year, driven largely by ad valorem revenue. Major recurring allocations in the proposed budget include $350,000 for school resource officers, $500,000 for community policing (special assigned duty details), and about $1,132,860 for 10 officers assigned to the FPRA area. Debt service was listed at approximately $3,000,006.89.
