The Kenosha County Human Services Committee approved a resolution to nominate Jeffrey Martin to the Kenosha County Veterans Service Commission and will forward the nomination to the county board for final consideration.
Rebecca (presenter) told the committee Martin served 30 years in the Navy and "currently is the commander for the Twin Lakes," and recommended his appointment. Martin attended the meeting and answered a few questions about his residence and service background.
Supervisor Kirby made the motion to approve the resolution; Supervisor Poole seconded. Committee members indicated their support and the chair said the resolution "passes" and will go before the county board in a couple weeks for the final vote.
Committee members encouraged the nominee to attend the county-board meeting but said attendance was not required. No further committee action was taken.
