Planning commission reviews final master plan for Meadows Phase 1A in Gallatin

The Gallatin Planning Commission reviewed the final master development plan for Meadows Phase 1A on Oct. 25, with staff describing the filing as routine and asking the applicant to address minor labeling, line-weight and elevation specifications.
Brad Hickman, staff planner, told commissioners the application covers 20 lots on about 19.6 acres zoned R-20 PRD, and said engineering requires “resubmittal of a stormwater memorandum and an updated traffic study.” He also asked that the project’s exterior elevations be specified; Hickman said he wanted the elevations “to be specified as 70% breaker zone.”
Brian Hamilton, a representative with Nashville Civil, said the applicant had received staff comments and “have no problem with any of them,” and that they would update the traffic study and coordinate on the stormwater memorandum.
Commission discussion was brief; commissioners characterized the submittal as a routine renewal of a previously approved master plan and raised no substantive objections. No formal motions or votes were recorded during the commission discussion portion shown in the transcript.
The commission expects the applicant to resubmit updated technical materials addressing labeling, the stormwater memorandum and traffic study before the matter returns for final action at a future voting meeting.
