Collierville board approves $3 million street-repaving plan for FY2026; Wolf Ridge, Winchester Road among priorities

The Collierville Board of Mayor and Aldermen unanimously approved the town’s fiscal year 2026 street selection list and the use of approximately $3,000,000 for the repaving program.
Assistant Public Works Director Clay Tycer presented the recommended list, which splits work into a fall project and a spring project. The fall work will include full subdivision repaving in Wolf Ridge and Rolling Out subdivisions and continued work in Bracedome Park subdivision. The spring project will include Winchester Road from Byhalia to South Shea and South Shea Road from Poplar to Walston Lane, and paving in Shilling Farms subdivision.
Tycer described common pavement issues at the listed locations—“alligator” cracking, sunken spots and edge breakups—and said the town will include alternates (Laurel subdivision and a heavy-use maintenance drive at Ruffer Progress) if funding and scheduling permit. Tycer told the board the town previously managed to complete both primary and alternate streets in the prior fiscal year and expressed confidence the planned allocation will cover the selected work; board members asked that streets not completed be rolled into the next year’s program.
Aldermen voted yes on the list in a roll-call vote with Mayor Frazier presiding. The board did not amend the list during the meeting and directed staff to proceed to procurement and scheduling.
