Amherst City Council adopts two ordinances on mayor’s court and building fees in unanimous votes

Councilmember Heverling moved to adopt the ordinance and Councilmember Janek seconded. After no comments or questions, the clerk conducted a roll call; Councilmembers Janek, Federle, Dunorski, Dembinski, Wachov and Namart voted yes. The motion carried 6-0.
A second ordinance amending section 13.37 (final 4) of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Amherst regarding building fees was adopted as Ordinance O25-25. Councilmember Janek moved to adopt and Councilmember Jambinski seconded. There were no comments or questions before the roll call; the same six councilmembers voted yes and the motion passed 6-0.
Both measures were presented on third reading with motions and seconds entered on the record and no public comment recorded on either item. The clerk announced the roll-call tallies and confirmed the ordinances’ file numbers following each vote.
Other routine business at the meeting included acceptance of the consent agenda, administrative reports, and acknowledgment of a report to those charged with governance (the cover page on that report contains a dated proofreading error that was discussed during the meeting). The council adjourned after accepting the administrative reports and the acknowledgment motion passed 6-0.
