Committee grants secondhand-valuable license to Game Zone

The Salem City Council Committee of the Whole — Ordinances, Licenses & Legal Affairs voted Oct. 23, 2025 to grant a secondhand-valuable license to Game Zone.

Councilor Marcella moved “I move to grant the license,” and Councilor Cohen seconded; the chair called for those in favor and the committee carried the matter by a voice vote.

The item was handled at the start of the committee meeting before members turned to a separate zoning and ordinance matter related to retail marijuana establishments. No further conditions, fee changes, or objections were recorded in the committee’s discussion about the Game Zone license.
