Resident raises concerns about Mills Road roundabout congestion; council staff to follow up

A North Ridgeville resident who said he has lived at 33789 Mills Road for 48 years told council Oct. 6 that the roundabout on Mills Road has become congested and, in his words, "a drag strip," and that it now takes him and his wife about 10 minutes to get out of their driveway.
Councilmember Schaefer asked whether the city or the neighboring city of Avon is responsible for particular segments of Mills Road. Council discussion identified the segment from Stony Ridge to Jaycox as North Ridgeville's responsibility and Jaycox eastward toward Center Ridge as Avon's responsibility. Council also discussed a steep drop-off at the corner of Mills and Leernego and noted the engineering department had been asked to review a guardrail installation.
