The Folsom City Council on Aug. 26 introduced an ordinance to approve a development agreement with Elliott Homes (Broadstone Crossing Phase 2) and voted to advance the agreement after a public hearing.
Desmond Perrington, planning manager, described the project as an 18.7‑acre site at the northeast corner of Iron Point and East Bidwell, previously approved by the planning commission for three office buildings including a medical office building for Sutter. Perrington said project approvals identified traffic congestion at East Bidwell and Iron Point that the developer must address through turn‑lane work, signal timing coordination and, ultimately, a pedestrian overcrossing to improve pedestrian safety and signal operations.
