The Kenai Peninsula Borough Plat Committee on Sept. 22, 2025, adopted its meeting agenda and minutes and approved four plats grouped on the consent agenda, all by unanimous roll-call votes.
The committee approved the minutes of the Sept. 8, 2025 plat committee meeting and accepted four plats as noncontroversial and grouped on the consent agenda: Dawson Subdivision Number 2; U Subdivision; Bowens Subdivision Number 3; and Kidrod 2025 Replat. The chair read the items into the record and asked if anyone wished to comment; none did.
Staff had grouped the four plats as “simple and noncontroversial.” The committee then moved, seconded and voted to adopt the agenda and the consent items “based on staff recommendation and compliance with borough code,” with all voting members present voting yes.
Votes at a glance: - Approval of agenda and minutes (including consent agenda): unanimous roll-call approval (England — yes; Morgan — yes; Venuti — yes; Whitney — yes; Gillum — yes). - Dawson Subdivision Number 2 (consent): approved on staff recommendation. - U Subdivision (consent): approved on staff recommendation. - Bowens Subdivision Number 3 (consent): approved on staff recommendation. - Kidrod 2025 Replat (consent): approved on staff recommendation.
The committee moved on to two items of new business after the consent approvals. The meeting closed after public comment (none received) and the committee set its next scheduled plat committee meeting for Monday, Oct. 13, 2025.
