The board also approved an annual MOU to allow the program Optimal Health for Me (referred to in the meeting as an age‑appropriate, risk‑avoidance family‑life instruction program) to deliver curriculum in grades 6–12. On a separate legal item, the board voted to admit a transfer student from another school system who had been suspended or expelled and to place that student in the district’s alternative school program until the originating discipline period concluded. The director recommended placement in an alternative program “because of timing,” and staff said the student would be eligible for traditional school placement when the disciplinary period ended in September.
