Airport staff reported the airport had about 4,700 gallons of fuel on hand and was selling aviation gasoline at $5.05 a gallon; sales volume increased following the runway reopening.
The airport fuel price was listed at $5.05 per gallon and staff said they were comfortable keeping it there. "Our last fuel load was in September... We have about 4,700 gallons left," an airport manager said. The manager said the airport averaged roughly 15 gallons per day while the runway was closed and about 31 gallons per day since reopening.
Staff discussed options to refresh the tank by purchasing a 10,000‑gallon load and exploring whether another operator would split the load to reduce per‑gallon delivered price; board members suggested staff contact the concessionaire to ask about a split load or a special price for topping the tanks. Staff also noted the pump and new payment system have had some operational issues and that transaction-fee bookkeeping should be checked: staff reported some monthly statements still listing older vendors and asked finance staff to reconcile processing fees.
Board members recommended staff consider a modest temporary price reduction to move older fuel if the concessionaire is amenable, but cautioned against cutting price too far below nearby airports. No price change was authorized during the meeting; staff will follow up with the fuel concessionaire and report back.
