Dare County opens Kitty Hawk EMS Station 9 to expand emergency coverage

Collins said the site was placed “right along the bypass” to serve an area that experiences a high volume of calls for service. “We aren't just opening the doors to 1 new building today. We're strengthening our ability to serve,” she said.
County officials marked the opening as part of a longer program to upgrade EMS infrastructure and to provide staff with updated workspaces and equipment. Collins thanked those who worked on the project and attendees who came to celebrate the milestone.
