Arts & Culture Committee elects Amanda Greco as chair, names Shane vice chair; approves minutes and tasks leadership to refine work plan

At its July 28 meeting, the San Clemente City Arts & Culture Committee elected Committee member Amanda Greco as chair and a committee member identified as Shane as vice chair, approved minutes from the May 19 meeting and passed a motion directing the chair, vice chair and staff to refine the committee’s 2025–26 work plan.
Committee member Cole Koehler nominated Amanda Greco for chair, and Committee member Pasquets seconded the nomination. Greco accepted the nomination. The committee then voted; the nomination passed unanimously among members present. “All in favor of selecting Amanda Greco as the chairperson of this committee, say aye,” the presiding member called; the motion passed.
Following the chair election, members nominated and approved Shane as vice chair by unanimous voice vote. The committee also moved to approve the minutes from the May 19 meeting; the motion carried by voice vote.
Later in the meeting, members moved that the chair, vice chair and Samantha (city staff) iterate on and refine the draft 2025–26 arts and culture work plan and, if ready, forward it to City Council. The motion was made by Joshua and seconded by Kathy; the committee approved the motion by voice vote.
No budget allocations or policy changes were adopted at the July 28 meeting. The committee’s next regular meeting was announced as October (quarterly schedule), with special meetings allowed if urgent items arise.
