The Town of Lakeville on June 10, 2013 approved a series of budget transfers, appropriations and routine measures at its annual town meeting, including the FY2014 operating budget, contributions to regional school districts and several capital items.
The approvals included a package of transfers to cover unanticipated 2013 expenses, an appropriation of $145,207 for elected officials' salaries, debt and operating articles for regional schools, and capital borrowing for vehicles and building repairs. Many articles carried unanimous or majority votes after brief explanation and a finance committee recommendation.

What the votes mean
Most financial and operating articles carried with finance committee recommendations and little substantive debate; the town moved routine funds and authorized borrowing where noted. The largest single operating item recorded in the warrant was the town’s FY2014 operating totals and school assessments, which the meeting approved by majority or unanimous voice votes.
Ending
Moderator Norm Norrell dissolved the meetings at the close of business. Questions about specific line-item amounts, borrowing authorization language, or timing for capital projects should be directed to the Town Accountant or the Finance Committee as noted in the meeting record.
