At the Aug. 5 council meeting, staff presented the Central Weber Sewer Improvement District's truth-in-taxation notice sent to member municipalities. The notice says the sewer district is proposing a tax increase of 9.14% above last year's budgeted property-tax revenue, excluding eligible new growth.
The notice lists a public hearing at 6 p.m. on Aug. 18 at the Central Weber Sewer Improvement District administration building, 2618 West Pioneer Road in Marriott-Slaterville. Staff said the district will publish the required notices in newspapers and that the city can post the information on its website if desired.
Ending: City staff said they can forward the district's materials for posting and will coordinate with the district on public-notice steps.
