Students preview Drama United at board meeting; show set for Oct. 30

Emerson Moquist, a senior and the head director for Drama United, told the board the program is “to create a safe space for students of all abilities to come together and be a part of something,” and described that students participate onstage and backstage. The group performed or previewed a song titled “We Are Unified” during the meeting.
Administrators on the dais noted the program’s benefits and encouraged board members and community members to attend. The student presentation also noted logistics: the show is set for Oct. 30 at 6:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium, admission is free, and there will be a short intermission during which the freshman class will sell snacks to raise funds.
Board members thanked the students for the presentation. The appearance doubled as both a program update and a community invitation.
