The board heard that Eduardo and Alberto Pace donated machinist tools and equipment to the district’s manufacturing program, with an estimated value of about $7,895.
Administrators said the donation came from a father and son; the father worked as a machinist and retired, and the family chose to give the equipment to support hands-on learning in the district’s manufacturing program. Paul Noonshar, the district’s manufacturing teacher, was cited as appreciative and ready to use the tools in instruction.
The superintendent noted that board action was not required under district policy because gift acceptance is an administrative responsibility; however, the gift was presented to the board for public acknowledgement. The superintendent said a thank-you letter would be sent to the donors.
