Caswell County health director says recent Medicaid reimbursements are pass-through funds, not available for general use

Jennifer Eastwood, Caswell County health director, told the Board of Commissioners on Oct. 20 that a roughly $616,000 Medicaid payment tied to 22 clients is a pass-through reimbursement for specific services and cannot be treated as general county revenue.
Eastwood said the funds are for the Community Alternatives Program, which supports people with disabilities and medically fragile children to remain at home. "It's a pass through money. It's not actually revenue that's gonna sit in our coffers, so to speak," she said.
