The Murfreesboro Planning Commission voted Aug. 6 to recommend annexation of roughly 2.42 acres along John R. Rice Boulevard and Spike Trail and to recommend rezoning most of the parcel to Planned Commercial District (PCD) with a GDO‑1 design overlay to allow an off‑site Nelson Mazda office and vehicle storage yard.
Planning staff presented the annexation and companion zoning application.
