Lakeville CPC approves routine items, sets Sept. 18 follow-up; invoices and dues cleared

The Town of Lakeville Community Preservation Committee voted on a set of routine administrative items at its Aug. 21 meeting and scheduled follow-up for Sept. 18.
The committee recorded the following formal actions: it approved payment of the coalition membership dues for fiscal year 2026; approved minutes of the June 18 meeting (one member abstained because they were not present); and approved the committee's 2024 report to the town. The committee also authorized payment of two vendor invoices: $9,840 for cemetery stone repairs and $42 for a replacement CPA project sign.
Those payments and approvals were moved and seconded at the meeting and carried by voice vote. Where individual yea/nay tallies were recorded in the transcript, they were recorded as "Aye" or abstain; the meeting minutes will reflect the town's formal accounting records. The committee also decided not to finalize a memo to the select board at this meeting and to return to that item on Sept. 18.
Other business: the committee reviewed the status of several previously approved projects (cemetery repairs, historic museum cupola work, and engineering contract paperwork for a parks project) and asked staff to provide missing invoice or contract schedules so payments can be processed at a subsequent meeting where appropriate.
