Bannock County approves $24,052.70 purchase of portable ventilator for ambulance

Dean Bullock, with the Pocatello Fire Department, told commissioners the ventilator would be placed on a new ambulance scheduled for delivery at the end of the year and that three of four ventilators previously approved had already been purchased. “This ventilator will be placed on the new ambulance that we will take delivery of, at the end of this year,” Bullock said. He asked the commission to authorize use of $24,052.70 of unexpended FY ’25 capital outlay to buy the fourth unit.
Commissioners moved and approved the expenditure by voice vote. The board did not record a roll-call tally in the transcript; the motion passed after commissioners responded “aye.” The purchase was described as within the ambulance district’s budget constraints.
