The Cheektowaga Planning Board approved a site-plan reapproval for a proposed day-care at 1571 Harlem Road submitted by owner Emily Thrasher. Thrasher told the board she previously had approval for the site in 2022 and sought reapproval after that approval lapsed. "This was, previously approved back in 2022 and then, lapsed. So I'm just here for reapproval," Thrasher said.
Board members asked whether the project must appear before the Environmental Advisory Committee; the applicant confirmed that it would. The board moved to approve reapproval of the site plan during the meeting and recorded the motion as passed on a voice vote. The transcript does not show additional conditions attached to the approval; planning staff or the EAC may require further administrative steps.
Thrasher said the parcel is vacant with an old foundation and that she owns both the existing day-care and the subject parcel. The board did not record further substantive debate on design, parking or landscaping in the transcript.
