The North Allegheny School District Board unanimously approved eight special voting items at a special voting meeting Aug. 6, including two administrative appointments, multiple personnel actions, a consultant appointment, a settlement agreement and approval of the district's 2026 spring musical.
Board member Britton Dozier moved the slate of eight items, which the board then voted on as a package. The vote closed with the board announcing that "all items pass unanimously." Mrs. Warner presided over the meeting.
Dozier listed the items included in the motion: appointment of an assistant principal at Franklin Elementary School; appointment of a coordinator of special education and gifted education; resignations; additional appointments; supplemental contracts; appointment of a consultant; approval of a settlement agreement; and approval of the North Allegheny spring 2026 musical, Frozen: The Broadway Musical.
Dozier identified the two administrative hires by name. Audrey Meehan was named to serve as the assistant/vice principal at Franklin Elementary (Meehan was not present), and Allison Frank was introduced as the district's incoming coordinator of special education and gifted education; Frank was in the audience. After the vote, Frank addressed the board, thanking members and saying she was “so excited to get started and to get to know the students, the staff, the parents, and the community.”
The board did not read aloud a roll-call list of how each member voted; the public announcement was that the package passed unanimously. No amendments to the package were proposed during the meeting.
The board will take up the routine voting items and the detailed individual contract and personnel approvals at the regular voting meeting next week, where staff said additional documentation and, where applicable, updated cost quotes will be available.
The action package concluded the special-voting portion of the Aug. 6 meeting and the board moved on to the work-session agenda items.
