Students and parents praise marching band performance; students press district for SAT/Regents prep and school safety

Students also requested more opportunities for classroom students to participate in morning announcements; Hazel Garcia Mendez, a fifth‑grade student from Lancome Intermediate School, asked that the principal select two or three students from each class each week to read morning announcements and the Pledge of Allegiance.
High‑school students, including Ramapo senior class officers, asked for SAT/PSAT dates and for regents‑exam preparation. Dr. Gonzales said the district is scheduling a December PSAT administration and will provide online tutoring before the exam. A student speaker also reported seeing no security guard at a recent Ramapo High School home event and asked the district to review safety procedures at that building.
