Committee members asked whether the erosion was caused by surrounding private property; Meisenberg said the condition stems from the steep apron and local cuts, not from property-owner actions. He added the area includes nearby asphalt producers and industrial sites to the west.
Meisenberg said the repair will use a unit-price contract already in place, so the work will not require a new bid process. He estimated crews would complete repairs about 14 days after the next city council approval.
The motion to approve the $250,000 request was moved by Crystal and seconded by Jackie; committee members approved the request and the item passed.
