County mayor asks commission to add three contracts to upcoming agenda, including first-responder mental-health services

Bradley County Mayor Davis asked the commission at the Sept. 8 work session to place three items on the commission’s Sept. 15 voting agenda: a mental-health services contract for first responders, a three-year phone-service contract covering the courthouse and juvenile center and a three-year contract for cardiac monitors for the ambulance service.
“First one is the mental health contract for the second company that provides mental health services to our first responders,” Mayor Davis said, asking that the item be placed on the agenda. A commissioner responded that they would put the item on the agenda.
Davis said the phone-service item is a three-year contract that would save money over renewing a one-year contract and asked a commissioner to add it to the agenda. He also asked that the commission add a three-year contract for cardiac monitors used by the ambulance service.
Commissioners did not take formal votes during the work session; commissioners indicated willingness to place the three requested resolutions on the Sept. 15 voting-session agenda for formal consideration.
