Parks and recreation staff defended continuing a printed mailer, saying many residents keep the booklet as a coffee‑table reference and it supports registration for classes and events; councilmembers debated whether to reduce printing frequency or distribution but ultimately approved the item.

The council approved the warrant register for Sept. 9 totaling $1,853,782.93 after staff explained line‑item descriptions and clarified character‑limit formatting for the electronic warrant export.

All consent items (Agenda Items 2–7) were approved on a roll‑call vote. Council discussed streaming and livestreaming reliability and noted a recent investment in equipment and vendor support to prevent dropped recordings.
