Sinclair Community College presents Warren County scholarship check and outlines Mason campus plans

Representatives from Sinclair Community College presented a Warren County scholarship check to the board and provided an update on Sinclair’s Mason campus during the county commissioners’ meeting.
Madeline Eiseley, identified in the meeting as senior vice president, said Sinclair dates to 1887 and reported that enrollment continues strong, with nearly 33,000 unique students annually. She said that, since 2007, Sinclair has awarded more than $1 million in Warren County scholarships and that more than 14,000 scholarships have gone to more than 6,600 Warren County students, with healthcare students receiving the largest share.
Eiseley reviewed a conceptual land-use plan for Sinclair Mason’s 72-acre property inside Course View Drive. The conceptual plan presented by MSP Design and discussed at stakeholder sessions included academic buildings, areas marked for potential public–private partnership development (red-striped buildings on the concept), and possibilities for a hotel with an attached conference center and a high-tech park. Sinclair said the plan is conceptual; stakeholders at sessions included the city of Mason zoning director, the city director of services, YMCA representatives, and local manufacturers.
Eiseley said Sinclair sees high interest in expanding health-care and manufacturing programs at the Mason campus and cited preliminary telephone survey data showing demand in those areas and in hospitality and tourism fields among younger demographics. She also described recent workforce partnerships, including an apprenticeship cohort with Vega Americas.
The college showed a short student testimonial about Sinclair’s supportive campus environment, and Eiseley noted the college’s intent to increase capacity at Mason to serve more Warren County students. County commissioners thanked Sinclair for the scholarship program and participation in local planning efforts. No formal action or vote was recorded on the campus conceptual plan during the meeting.
