Carson City supervisors on an undisclosed August meeting date voted to authorize $284,841 in redevelopment revolving-fund expenditures, approve a construction contract to replace a 50-meter pool filter at the aquatic center, adopt a zoning ordinance on temporary-use permits and appoint a citizen at large to the Board to Manage Wildlife.
City redevelopment staff told the board three projects had exceeded their budgets and qualified for redevelopment funding: a 50-meter pool filter replacement at the aquatic center seeking $75,000; South Carson Street / West Appian Way roadway modifications and traffic signals requesting $149,841; and a North Carson Street feasibility study requesting $60,000. Finance projected, as of 08/07/2025, approximately $527,500 in excess revenue for 2025, and staff recommended using part of those revenues to cover the overages. Miss Sullivan, the staff presenter, described those three line items and recommended the board authorize the expenditures.
