At its regular meeting the Forney ISD Board of Trustees took several formal actions by unanimous voice vote.
- Consent agenda: Trustees approved the consent agenda collectively. Items listed in the board packet included approval of minutes from the June 30 meeting; budget amendments; the 2025-26 appraisal calendar; new innovative courses for 2025-26; the 2025-26 student code of conduct and extracurricular code of conduct; renewal of legal services contracts; expedited professional-development waiver; TASB policy updates; a district property-insurance renewal; construction bid awards; and approval of district math board goals for 2025-26. Administration presented the consent package as a single motion; a trustee moved and another seconded and the board voted "aye" on the package.
- Educator certification substitution: The board voted to approve a request related to sanctions and substitution to the State Board of Educator Certification due to employment on an annual contract; the motion carried unanimously.
- Policy revisions: (See separate article) The board adopted three policy updates required by the 89th Texas Legislature as first-and-final readings.
The board also received reports on investments and tax collections and accepted multiple informational reports without action. All recorded motions on the consent agenda and the individual actions above passed on voice votes with no recorded opposition.
