Motion text: Motion to accept proposed policy changes with the alternate “no SLAC” (no school library advisory committee). Motion by Trustee Jones; second by Trustee Lewis. Staff explained the board may choose to keep a school library advisory council or adopt the no‑SLAC alternative; legal counsel noted a petition process could require the board to reconstitute a SLAC if a threshold of parent petitions is submitted.
