One commissioner reminded the board that county policy requires staff to obtain travel authorization in advance. “The key thing here is it’s ahead that you get permission, not after,” a commissioner said. Scott noted the county has authorized similar reimbursements in the past but asked the board to approve this instance. A motion to authorize reimbursement passed on voice vote.
