Fairfield Union board hears start-of-year updates, approves consent items and routine contracts

The Fairfield Union Local School District Board of Education received updates from the superintendent and building administrators on Aug. 4 as the district prepared to open for the school year, and approved routine consent agenda items and several contracts.
Superintendent Chad Bellville told the board maintenance teams have completed major summer projects, including resurfacing and striping the track and silk-coating parts of the main campus parking area. Bellville said staff and substitutes worked over the summer to prepare buildings and that the district posted a limited-response opening for a math intervention position posted in mid-July.
