Chemung County committees approve multiple procurement, contract and grant resolutions

Several Chemung County committees on Oct. 25 approved a wide set of procurement, contract and grant resolutions that county officials described as routine and non‑controversial. Committees combined items in series and moved them by consent where there were no objections.
Aviation Committee: Members combined resolutions authorizing task orders with Marlon Johnson on behalf of the Elmira/Corning Regional Airport and approved an agreement with Johnson Controls Fire Protection LP, an extension of a purchase agreement with M B Companies, and an award of a bid to Baseline King Corporation. Those items were called, moved and approved by voice vote.
Building & Grounds: The committee extended a purchase agreement with Ferrellgas LP for the Chemung County department named in the agenda, amended an agreement with Cummins Sales and Service, and authorized county departments to utilize an Omnia Partners contract to purchase from Lowe’s; the committee approved the series of resolutions without discussion.
Highway Committee: The committee approved multiple supplemental agreements with the New York State Department of Transportation and engineering consultants; it also authorized applications for a Water Quality Improvement Grant from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and agreements with consulting firms listed in the agenda.
Health and Human Services / Multi Services: Committees authorized acceptance of multiple state and nonprofit grants, including United Way senior support funds, Brownfield Opportunity Area and Coastal/Waterfront grants, Environmental Protection Fund grants for parks and historic preservation, Recreational Trails grants, and applications to the New York State Office for Homes and Community Renewal. The Multi Services Committee also approved records imaging procurement under Omnia Partners, a transit agreement extension with First Transit and other routine items.
All the listed resolutions were adopted by voice vote in committee sessions; the transcript records no roll‑call tallies for the routine items. Committees asked no substantive follow‑ups for most items, treating them as standard procurement or grant‑application steps.
