The Hawaiian Gardens City Public Housing Authority unanimously approved its consent calendar and adjourned a short Oct. 22, 2025 meeting that produced no public comments or discussion.
Chair Member DePaula called the meeting to order at 5:54 p.m. and noted a quorum was present. The city clerk outlined public-comment options, saying public comments could be submitted in writing, via the city website, by Zoom or in person and that "public comment is now open." No members of the public joined by Zoom.
Board members moved to approve the consent calendar; the motion was seconded and approved by roll call. Director Hernandez, Director Jones, Director Farfan, Director Roa, Director Vargas, Vice Member Del Rio and Chair Member DePaula each voted yes. The chair declared the motion carried.
There were no discussion items, no new business and no oral staff or member reports. The board did not go into closed session. Chair Member DePaula adjourned the meeting at 5:56 p.m. The authority scheduled its next regular meeting for Jan. 28, 2026, at 5:45 p.m.
