A staff speaker said the relevant UDC transportation requirements may not have contemplated intersections with state and U.S. routes at the time those UDC sections were adopted and recommended postponement to allow staff and the planning commission time to review the code sections. "Staff is recommending for your consideration this evening the postponement of rezone P25‑0043 and special use P25‑0044 until the October 20 planning commission to allow time for review of certain UDC code sections that have transportation improvement requirements that may not have necessarily contemplated state and US route intersections at the time, of adoption," the staff speaker said.
A motion and second to postpone the items to Oct. 20 carried by voice vote. The transcript records no public comments opposing the postponement at the time and no roll‑call tally was recorded.
