Montezuma County social services wins meat donation, secures transit grant and plans TripMaster launch

Montezuma County social services officials told the Board of County Commissioners on Aug. 26 that Rocky Mountain Meats will donate 25 pounds of meat each month to the county’s senior services program and has offered a reduced rate of $1.80 per pound for additional purchases.
The county’s social services representative, identified in the meeting transcript as Kelly, also announced that the department was formally awarded $171,857.28 through “53 11” funding the department applied for. “We were hoping to get that full amount,” Kelly said.
