Board appoints Voteant Solutions eBallot as election agent, approves volunteers and accepts Larka Pathway easement

Following executive-session review, the Reston Association Board of Directors on Oct. 9 took several administrative actions:
Election vendor appointment The board appointed Voteant Solutions eBallot as the association’s counting agent and Inspector of Elections to receive and tabulate the 2026 board election and to certify results, subject to a mutually acceptable contract. The motion passed unanimously.
Volunteer appointments The board approved Hallie (Halei) Schekers to the IT committee and a volunteer (listed in the board packet as Bridal Alireyance) to the Covenants Committee; votes were unanimous or near-unanimous with one abstention recorded for the latter appointment.
Easement acceptance The board accepted the Larka Pathway easement as presented in executive session and directed the CEO to arrange mutual execution and recordation in Fairfax County land records.
Why it matters The vendor appointment completes a procurement step needed for the 2026 board election. Volunteer appointments fill committee seats that support operations and member services. The easement acceptance clarifies property rights and will be recorded in county records.
Ending Staff will finalize the contract with Voteant Solutions eBallot, complete the mutual easement execution and recordation, and notify newly appointed volunteers of next steps.
