Oshkosh council approves parking and meeting ordinances, special events and a liquor license; four resolutions laid over to Sept. 9

The Oshkosh Common Council on Aug. 26 approved several ordinances and resolutions with largely unanimous roll-call votes and laid over four items for further investigation and communication at the Sept. 9 meeting.

- Approved (resolution): Resolution 25-465 — combination Class B liquor license for Water City Pub, 216 Main Street (approved by roll call).

Several items were handled with brief discussion; the council completed roll calls for each approval. The mayor/presiding member called the roll and votes were recorded as aye by the five members present on votes that carried. Where council members noted items for pull, they were described by council as being set aside for additional communication and investigation and scheduled for consideration on Sept. 9.

Council Member Bulow announced four items to be removed from the consent agenda — identified by resolution numbers during the meeting — and then moved to lay over at least two (Resolution 25-444 and 25-450 were explicitly moved to layover; subsequent items were similarly laid over or handled in subsequent motions). The council repeatedly described the layovers as intended to allow “further investigation and communication.”
