Board approves commissioning, testing and balance contracts for high school additions

The College Station ISD board unanimously approved commissioning, testing and balancing contracts for two high-school construction projects at its Sept. 16 meeting.
Trustees approved a contract with EMA Engineering and Consulting for commissioning, testing and balancing of the consolidated-addition and a retro-commission for A&M Consolidated High School. The scope includes commissioning of newly installed mechanical equipment and retro-commissioning of areas of the existing building where mechanical systems have been replaced or upgraded.
Trustees also approved a separate EMA contract for commissioning, testing and balancing of additions at College Station High School (additions only; no retro-commissioning was included for that motion). Both motions passed on voice votes, 7-0.
Mister Buckner and other facilities staff described the projects as part of ongoing construction and efficiency efforts; trustees asked no substantive questions before the votes.
