CSISD trustees approve 2025-26 district and campus improvement plans

The College Station Independent School District board of trustees voted 7-0 on Sept. 16 to approve the district and campus improvement plans for the 2025–26 school year.
David Mann, district presenter, summarized the district improvement plan (DIP) process and materials, which the district posts online. Mann described the work that feeds into the plan — comprehensive needs assessments, demographic and student-learning data, district processes and perception surveys — and said campuses and the district use a program called Plan for Learning to track goals, performance objectives and strategies. "Everything that we enter there, everything that we talk about is spelled out within the document," Mann told trustees.
Mann said the DIP aligns to the district's strategic plan adopted in 2021 and emphasized multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), response to intervention, professional learning communities and increased campus visits by instructional leaders. Trustees asked clarifying questions about MTSS and implementation timelines; Mann and other administrators described the work as iterative and "stair-stepped" into place.
Board member Miss Simmons moved to approve the 2025'26 campus improvement plans as presented; Miss Wilson seconded. The motion carried 7-0.
Administrators said the full district plan (73 pages) and individual campus plans are on the district website for public review and that review periods and accountability checkpoints are built into the Plan for Learning workflow.
