Board members discussed upcoming work plan items including planning for the 2025 historic resources awards (to be held in 2026) and an update to the board’s property inventory.
At the start of the meeting staff noted the board has a goal on its work plan to finalize awards for 2025, to be presented in 2026, and said an item to wrap up awards planning would be scheduled at one of the remaining meetings this year. Later in the meeting staff and board members identified a subcommittee for awards planning and agreed staff would prepare a reduced list of award nominees with routine tenant improvements and minor repairs removed from consideration.
Board member Caroline (first name given in discussion as Carolyn Willis elsewhere in the record) said she had begun work with staff to update the inventory and proposed a master list that would be posted online and then linked to updated Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) record sheets when available. Board members requested adding the year built to the inventory fields and discussed that staff would prepare the refined inventory for board review.
Staff said they would prepare and present the refined inventory and award nominee list back to the board for review at a future meeting. No formal motions or votes were recorded on these procedural items.
