Oro Valley council approves Class A bingo license for Vistoso Village

The Oro Valley Town Council on Sept. 3 voted 7-0 to recommend issuance of a Class A bingo license for Vistoso Village, a facility proposed at 13401 North Rancho Vistoso Boulevard.
Clerk's staff told council that Janice Landon, the applicant for Vistoso Village, submitted the required paperwork, paid applicable fees and cleared the town's review. The Oro Valley Police Department completed a background investigation and reported no objections, according to the clerk's presentation. Vice Mayor Barrett moved to recommend approval; Council Member Green seconded the motion and the council adopted it by voice vote, 7-0.
A Class A license permits recreational and social bingo where gross receipts do not exceed $75,000 per year, town staff said. No members of the public spoke during the public hearing opened for the item.
The license will be forwarded to the Arizona Department of Revenue, per the motion recorded in council action notes. No other conditions or restrictions were announced at the meeting.
Council records show this action was taken during the council's regular session on Sept. 3, 2025.
