The Saline Area Schools Board of Education voted 6-0 on Aug. 19 to approve a 2025–2027 collective bargaining agreement with the Saline Education Association during a brief special meeting.
The action came at the district’s special meeting called to order by Smith. The board then approved the agenda and, after a motion on the contract, moved to vote. The board chair and members said thanks to staff involved in negotiating the agreement; Carol and Rachel were specifically thanked during the discussion. The board recorded a 6-0 vote in favor and noted one member was absent.
The board also voted to receive and file the district human resources report dated Aug. 19, 2025. That motion was moved by Devon and carried without objection. Board members noted the items were in the meeting packet.
The board set its next regular meeting for Aug. 26, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. and adjourned the special meeting at 6:32:11 p.m.
