Pryor Creek — The Pryor Creek City Council took action on several consent and ordinance items during its Aug. 19 meeting. Highlights and outcomes are listed below.

- Camera subscription: Approved expenditure of $12,000 to Flock Group, Inc. for annual renewal of four Flock cameras (Police Equipment Capital Outlay account). The council approved the payment after discussion that it covered the software subscription that operates with the cameras.

- Hiring: Approved hiring Kaylee Soap as a dispatcher with the Pryor Creek Police Department (Range R, Step 1), effective Aug. 25, 2025, to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Angelique Cunningham. The council recorded its approval.

- Zoning and plats (A and R Investments): Approved a zoning change from agricultural to Residential RS-70 for a roughly 31.5754-acre tract east of the fairgrounds, and approved the final plat creating seven lots of approximately 4.5 acres each. Council discussion covered water movement and coordination with the municipal utility board (MUB); the council approved the rezoning and the final plat.

- Casey’s project: On second reading, the council approved rezoning, an easement closing and related items for a proposed Casey’s general store and associated property adjustments. Staff said remaining items include state-level entrance permits from the Department of Transportation; no additional council action was pending at the meeting.

- Ordinances and readings: The council waived readings and approved multiple second-reading ordinances amending zoning classifications (various properties) and took first reading of a Giles Park dedication ordinance for land donated by Tom Giles (first reading — no final action permitted the same night).

- Executive sessions and personnel/legal items: The council entered executive session for personnel and legal discussions; upon return, the council recorded no action on the personnel matter involving Sergeant Jack Cunningham and no action on the legal claim matter described as Glover and Associates. Those matters remain confidential from the executive session record aside from the recorded outcomes.

- Pryor Public Works Authority: The prior public works authority approved minutes and claims for purchase orders through Aug. 29, 2025.

Several items on the consent agenda were pulled for discussion (items G and J in the packet) and addressed during the meeting. For items that required further staff work (for example, the mower procurement), the council directed staff to return with bids or cost estimates as noted on the agenda.
