The Clear Creek County Board approved renewal of the entertainment‑facility license for Colorado Adventure Center Co. Acquisition LLC (doing business as Colorado Adventure Center) at a public hearing on Aug. 19. County staff said all departments had cleared the application and there had been no reported incidents tied to the license in the previous year.
Separately, county staff administratively processed renewals for two retail marijuana licensees. One renewal was routine and treated administratively; Tri‑City’s renewal was approved with a condition and schedule after staff reported ongoing outstanding grading and drainage work connected with prior building permits. The board and staff agreed to renew Tri‑City’s license for the current calendar year but added a condition that site development tasks must be completed by Aug. 30, 2026, and that the county will not renew or transfer the license again if those requirements remain unmet.
County staff said they had worked with the business and imposed the deadline to ensure that required infrastructure improvements are completed. Commissioners said the condition was intended to hold the operator accountable while allowing continued operation pending completion of the work.
All administrative approvals were reported as acted on with staff recommendation and recorded in the meeting minutes.
