Mendon council directs staff to draft park rules and signage after recurring slip-and-slide use

"I'm wondering about just, like, Bob's saying, signage just saying no water slides," a council member said during the discussion; other members noted the park is free for citizens to use but that reservations are available for $25 to put a name on the calendar.
Council directed parks staff and council members to develop three or four specific rules and draft signage; the council also suggested the parks staff coordinate with the public-works engineer on enforceability and that the council member closest to the park help monitor recurring problems.
Ending: Staff were asked to return with proposed rules and signage for Pioneer Park and the softball-diamond perimeter; no ordinance or fee change was adopted at the meeting.
