Desert Recreation District reports early progress maintaining Cathedral City parks, expanding programs

Desert Recreation District officials told the Cathedral City City Council on Aug. 15 that the district has completed initial setup and is conducting day-to-day maintenance and programming at the city's five major parks after becoming the service provider on July 1.
"We're out in the parks every day ensuring that our spaces and restrooms are clean, safe and ready for the community to enjoy," said Cynthia, community services supervisor for the Cathedral City area with Desert Recreation District.
