City Manager Carolyn Lear updated the council at the Aug. 11 workshop on a handful of operational items, including move‑ins at Teresa’s Place and the city’s return to renovated City Hall.
Lear said representatives from Teresa’s Place told city staff they expect resident move‑ins to begin imminently and will be staggered over several weeks for quality of service. Lear said Teresa’s Place expects to be roughly 70–75% occupied after the initial move‑in push and that their representatives will brief the council with a project update in September once move‑ins are underway.
Assistant City Manager Courtney McDonald described the multi‑department transition back to the renovated facility and thanked staff for helping the move proceed smoothly. McDonald said the clerk’s office and treasury were able to open and serve customers from the new facility at 73 Carlisle Street without interruption.
Lear also noted a clerical error in the council consent agenda narrative for item 25‑250 (a Homeland Security grant application); the narrative incorrectly listed an internal review date and staff corrected that the review by GovOps occurred Aug. 4, not Aug. 1.
