The Lakeville Agricultural Commission on Aug. 13 reported the resignation of member Kelly, who submitted her resignation to the Board of Selectmen after relocating to another town, and welcomed newly arrived member Cindy Barber.
Commission members noted that Hank Van Lehoven is now serving with the commission as well. The chair said the commission currently has one regular opening and one associate slot potentially available and outlined the application process: interested residents should attend a meeting, then submit a letter of interest to the Board of Selectmen describing their interest in agriculture and willingness to serve; the selectmen forward letters to the commission for consideration.
Members discussed recruitment and asked to publicize openings. No formal appointment votes were recorded at the meeting.
The meeting was closed by motion at 7:55 p.m.; a member named George moved to close the meeting, the assembly responded "Aye," and the chair declared the meeting closed.
